The special edition V8 Vantage S SP10 (2013-2015) was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show alongside a similar roadster version in February 2013. Initially it was announced that the SP10 would only be built in LHD form for continental Europe, although eventually is also became available in RHD for the UK market. The car was been inspired by the success of the V8 Vantage GT4 particularly in the VLN endurance championship at the Nürburgring. If you were wondering, the name, SP10, is the class that the GT4 competes in.


The SP10 was considered rather special as it the first time that the V8 Vantage S has been made available with a conventional stick shift six speed manual gearbox. You will no doubt remember that when introduced, the ‘S’ was only ever intended to receive the Sportshift 2 gearbox. It has to be noted that it was also possible to specify as an option, the Sportshift II gearbox on this model.



The cosmetic specification of the SP10 is as follows.

· Optional Onyx Black (from 2014MY) and optional Lightning Silver (2014MY, Australia & New Zealand only)


· Comfort suspension, optional Sports Suspension


· Six-speed manual transmission as standard


· Optional Sportshift™ II automated manual seven-speed transmission


· Obsidian Black leather with Black Alcantara seat inserts and Silver stitching


· Sports seats, optional memory seats, optional lightweight carbon fibre seats.


· Alcantara trimmed steering wheel


· Piano Black centre console


· Headlining in Black or Taylors Grey Alcantara


· Gloss black painted 19 inch V spoke wheels, diamond turned


· Black painted brake calipers


· Clear rear lamp clusters


· “Aston Martin Vantage SP10” badge on the engine block


· 750W Premium Audio System, 1000W Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Audio System as an optional extra


· Optional Reversing Camera


The base price for the Aston Martin Vantage SP10 was €96,635 (plus VAT and local charges).


Although the SP10 was initially an unlimited special edition, production of the car continued for two years, such was it’s popularity. Effectively replaced by the N430, total production of the SP10 coupe reached 384 examples.

Donc Riviera a un des 12 roadsters SP10 BVM....combien en LHD ?

j’en connais déjà 2 : celle qui m’a fait de l’œil chez Aston à Stuttgart, deux mois avant que je ne trouve la mienne en France!

Bon, cela dit, pour moi cela ne change rien qu’il y en ait 12 ou 10000… du moment que j’ai la seule de mon village, cela me suffit!

Et puis comme ce sont plutôt les enfants qui jouent avec, c’est plus rigolo qu’elle ait un levier de vitesse. C’est pour ça que j’ai pris une boîte manuelle
